Following the legendary Tactical Weapon series—famous for background damage and critical-hit bonuses—Grey Core arrives as the first new Elite weapon of the 2025 North America version.
Following Data Cube, Fate, and Flawless, Grey Core is not simply another successor. Its unique Star Ring mechanic, layered damage bonuses, defensive abilities, and multi-element attacks make it one of the most powerful Tactical Weapons released so far.
Grey Core can provide up to 300% additional damage while Star Ring is fully charged, creating some of the strongest damage spikes currently available.

5. Basic Data Summary
1. Weapon Appearance
Grey Core has a sleek science-fiction appearance, resembling an artificial star surrounded by advanced machinery.
Stage 1
Generates a glowing nebula surrounded by an asteroid belt.
Stage 2
The asteroid belt evolves into three orbiting satellites, creating a more advanced and dynamic visual effect.
Grey Core breaks away from the simple geometric designs used since the Rubik's Cube era. Its crimson star rays, protective plating, nebula effects, and constantly orbiting satellites make it feel more three-dimensional and alive than previous Tactical Weapons.
2. Weapon Training and Cost
Grey Core can be purchased from the Dragon Age Event Redemption Shop.
| Training Requirement |
Cost |
| Initial Mother Copy |
3,999 Blessing Cards |
| Upgrade to Stage 1 |
1,666 Shards |
| Upgrade to Stage 2 |
2,600 Shards |
| Total Upgrade Shards |
4,266 Shards |
| Price Per Shard Pack |
180 Blessing Cards |
Depending on shard-pack luck, the expected total cost is approximately 63,000 to 75,600 Dragon God Blessing Cards.
Advanced Black Flame Pass Rewards
Starting from Level 120, the Advanced Black Flame Pass awards Grey Core Fragments at three milestone levels.
| Pass Level |
Grey Core Fragments |
| Level 120 |

| Level 150 |
150 |
| Level 200 |

| Total Per Pass |
400 |
If the following Pass provides another 400 fragments, players can receive 800 fragments from two Passes. This can save approximately 13,000 Dragon God Blessing Cards.
Based on the lowest reasonable calculation, fully cultivating Grey Core requires approximately 70,000 Dragon God Blessing Cards.
Event Coin Sources
• Daily top-up rewards
• Winter Warfare Blessings
• Daily Pass Challenge tasks
• Daily free redemptions
These sources provide at least 60 event coins per day, equal to approximately 3,360 coins over 56 days. Anniversary rewards, amplifiers, Online Carnival rewards, and other boosting events may reduce the final Blessing Card cost by half.
Important: Each Battle Pass contains approximately 400 Grey Core shards. Claim all available Pass fragments before purchasing additional shard packs.
Players who participate consistently in events between August and September may be able to fully upgrade Grey Core without directly purchasing the entire required amount.
3. Adventure Attributes
As Adventure Mode has evolved, the importance of basic Energy Strength has gradually been reduced by newer attributes such as Vulnerability and Damage Bonus.
Energy Burst Rate has become especially important. Every critical hit can trigger major burst damage, making it one of the primary damage factors for high-level Adventure players.
Grey Core Attribute Position
Explosion Rate: 7%
Equal to Flawless and higher than Destiny.
Its remaining core attributes are comparable to Flawless, placing Grey Core among the strongest Tactical Weapons currently available.
4. Weapon Features
4.1 Star Ring
Phase 0 Unlock
In Big Head Hero, Big Head Blade Fight, Mutation, Challenge, and Adventure modes, equip Grey Core and press E to activate Star Ring.
During Star Ring, movement speed increases in Mutation, Challenge, and Adventure modes. The player becomes immune to Stun, Freeze, and Imprison.
Every time the player is stunned, frozen, imprisoned, or receives damage, Grey Core gains a Charge. Charges also accumulate automatically at short intervals.
Each Charge increases the damage of all weapons in the backpack. The maximum Charge count and damage bonus depend on Grey Core's upgrade stage.
Phase 1 Adventure Bonus: When Charge reaches its maximum, the player receives an additional Critical Rate bonus.
After activating Star Ring, two progress bars appear at the bottom-right of the screen.
Upper Bar: Charge progress. It fills automatically even when the player is not attacked.
Lower Bar: Remaining Star Ring duration.

When backpack strength was adjusted to remain nearly identical, Grey Core produced approximately 10,000 damage without using Star Ring. This confirms that Grey Core does not provide a passive damage increase while the skill is inactive.
After activating E, damage increases according to Charge level, rising from approximately 18,000 to approximately 40,000.
Star Ring provides up to approximately 300% additive damage. In Adventure Mode, reaching maximum Charge also grants approximately 30% additional Critical Rate.
Because Battle Teams uses additive damage calculations, perfectly isolating all damage sources is difficult. However, testing on a V6 Level 43 account with limited bonuses produced a clear result.

4.2 Starlight
Level 0 Unlock
In Adventure Mode, Grey Core reduces incoming Energy Critical Damage. The reduction amount depends on Grey Core's rank.
At Phase 1, while Star Ring is active in Mutation, Challenge, and Adventure modes, any single hit exceeding a certain percentage of maximum HP is reduced to zero.
This protection does not work against boss attacks. Every time the protection activates, the remaining duration of Star Ring is reduced.
| Test |
Result |
| Character HP |
60,000 |
| Knight's Cleave Without E |
12,000 Damage |
| Chasing Light Blade Without E |
Instant Kill |
| Both Attacks With E Active |
Zero Damage |
Testing confirms that attacks dealing at least 20% of maximum HP can be completely negated while Star Ring is active.
4.3 Star Bomb
Tier 1 Unlock
In Mutation, Challenge, and Adventure modes, activating Star Ring automatically launches Star Bombs toward the player's crosshair.
Star Bomb damage increases according to the current Star Ring state.
In Adventure Mode, Star Bomb damage automatically cycles between Rupture, Plasma, and Corrosion. Each cycle increases damage, stacking up to a maximum.
While Grey Core is equipped, right-click to pause the automatic element rotation. Right-click again to resume it.
Maximum Fire Rate: Up to 5 Star Bombs per second
Area Damage: Small area of effect
Weapon Switching: Star Bombs continue firing after switching weapons
Maximum Mutation Damage: Approximately 2,642
Limitation: Star Bombs may fire toward distant or obstructed enemies but deal no damage if the target cannot be reached.
In Adventure Mode, Star Bomb damage is comparable to a Lightning Blade attack from a fully equipped Gaia using the same backpack without runes.
Each element rotation increases damage by approximately 8%, eventually reaching a maximum bonus of approximately 300%. This bonus remains active after switching weapons.
Star Bombs do not naturally produce critical hits. However, switching to a weapon with a critical-hit effect can allow active Star Bombs to deal critical damage.
Grey Core's most important offensive feature is its ability to deal three different damage types:
| Grey Core Damage Type |
Shield Type Countered |
| Corrosion |
Mental Shield |
| Tearing / Rupture |
Physical Shield |
| Plasma |
Elemental Shield |
While Grey Core is equipped, right-clicking pauses or resumes the damage-type rotation.
Grey Core's element rotation applies only to Grey Core and Star Bomb attacks. It cannot transfer Corrosion, Rupture, or Plasma damage to other weapons in the backpack.

Grey Core combines damage amplification, critical-hit bonuses, damage reduction, crowd-control immunity, movement speed, automatic attacks, and three different damage types.
In newer dungeons, it compensates for the lack of specialized damage types found in powerful weapons such as Dimension and Gaia. Its short cooldown, high damage reduction, and automatic Star Bomb attacks also make it extremely effective in Brawl and Mutation environments.
Final Verdict: Grey Core is currently one of the strongest Tactical Weapons available. Its 300% damage amplification, approximately 30% Critical Rate increase, damage-nullification ability, short cooldown, and three-element attack system make it an exceptional weapon for Adventure, Mutation, Challenge, and Brawl modes.
